How much emphasis do you place on the customer journey?

Whether you are buying the latest tech, a pair of shoes, viewing the latest film release or sharing the latest trend on your choice of social media, there is an expectation that you can do all these things immediately. Time is at a premium and there is a general perception that with just a few clicks, on any device, anyone can get the result they want.

Much investment is now made in ensuring that whatever websites you visit or social media you favour, your customer journey is a positive experience. Companies large and small realise that this is essential now as negative feedback is very much in the public domain, and immediately so.

This high customer expectation has filtered into the recruitment world for both job seekers and companies looking to recruit. Although we know there are still many within the industry who would say that one recruitment website is the same as any other right? Well it is if you can use any device to immediately access the page you want to quickly and simply apply for jobs, submit a vacancy, read and comment on a blog or download a white paper.

With this in mind, Park Street People made the decision to develop a new website to ensure that we could offer all our customers a great visitor experience. So, whether you are looking for your next career opportunity or to recruit new talent into your organisation, we hope you will find our new site delivers at every touchpoint.

From previous feedback we have received, it is fair to say that traditionally the candidate experience of recruitment websites has not been a particularly joyful one. When it comes to recruitment, candidates are looking for a simple process as well as sufficient information in a job advert about the company, responsibilities and opportunities to develop.

As part of developing our new website, a key focus was on creating a platform that would make it as easy as possible for job seekers to take the first step in securing their next role. We’ve also taken on board that time is precious – so job seekers have a choice as to how they find out about our current vacancies - you can read our full job adverts, watch a video promoting the role or listen to an audio file. This also means a quicker process for us to identify suitable individuals to present to our recruiting customers too, so everybody wins!

Digital and the big part it plays in everyone’s lives means that it’s time to focus on what our candidates and clients want to get from their digital recruitment journey: Ultimately a new job or a new recruit of course, but that now has to be part of an engaging customer journey, not just a one-off interaction.

We hope you like the new site and we would love to hear your thoughts – customer experience is now king within the recruitment industry and we want to ensure yours is always a positive one with Park Street People.
