Our successful technology client, based in Weybridge, is looking to recruit an experienced Solutions Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a multi-faceted job involving technical excellence combined with an ability to champion a product into a new channel whilst building strong technical relationships. You will be responsible for driving the company’s financial market product line into new markets and ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system. This position will be highly hands on involving all aspects of the development lifecycles, from supporting the lab equipment and QA teams through to design, implementation, smoke testing, training, field trails, and key account trouble shooters. Our client is looking for someone who can work without supervision on the effective delivery of projects. You will be expected to maintain cost effectiveness, ensure the product line is kept up to date and innovative and research and implement the best practices that will provide the highest quality compared to competitors. The successful candidate will have strong project leadership and communication skills, as you will be expected to provide technical guidance to the development teams. You will also have extensive experience as an Architect/Senior Software Engineer used to a fast paced and sometimes pressurised environment with a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience. Expert knowledge in architecture and mastery of engineering tools and concepts is also essential. The ability to speak French will also be seen as an advantage but is not a prerequisite. Previous experience of using database technologies such as Microsoft SQL and ODBC, component technology such as OCX’s, Active X controls and DCOM and ideally both backend server and front-end application development is desirable. A working knowledge of Web based reporting/OLAP, Cisco routers (VOIP), PBX CTI interfaces and C++/Java in a real time or telephony-based environment is also important alongside SIP experience for call control or video conferencing. Based in Weybridge (Surrey), this role is commutable by car and public transport from locations such as Guildford, Addlestone, Shepperton, Egham, Staines, Windsor, Slough, Woking, Leatherhead and Sunbury-on-Thames.
