Our client, a leading establishment in the Bracknell area is looking to recruit a dedicated and efficient Senior IT Administrator to join their cutting-edge support team. This role will suit a candidate with a strong all-round desktop support / networking background, from within either the private or public sector. Core IT knowledge required includes: - Windows 2003 & 2008 servers with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft Exchange 2007 - Windows XP / NT / Vista support experience - Network security including content filtering, firewall and anti-spam appliances and anti-virus software - Network infrastructure consisting of a mix of 1Gbps fibre optic, 100Mbps ethernet and 802.11b/g wireless access points, switches and routers - Supporting enterprise applications including HR / Payroll software You will be a calm and pro-active individual, capable of demonstrating a proven track record of employment within the IT sector. Desktop and Network support will be in evidence throughout your skill-set. This role forms part of an effective IT department and therefore the successful candidate must be capable of working both autonomously and with other people. This role is based locally to Bracknell (Berkshire) and is within commuting distance of locations such as Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Camberley and Reading. This role is based around a 37.5 hour week (Monday to Friday) but does include being on stand-by.
