My client is an established organisation within the field of scientific software. Their clients include pharmaceutical corporations, scientific research organisations and education facilities. This global provider of specialised software is currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager (covering the whole of the UK). Ideally you will be of graduate calibre and preferably you will be scientifically minded and familiar with the terminology associated with laboratory equipment and life sciences. With a strong sales background, you will be used to building your own sales pipeline and selling F2F with senior decision makers at target clients. As this is an external role, you will have to possess a clean and full driving licence and will need to prepared to travel extensively with overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in field sales as well as a proven background selling to senior decision makers (telesales, telemarketing, inside sales, internal sales, business development, lead generation). You must have an excellent track record of achieving or exceeding targets within a field sales environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a self motivated, articulate and intelligent individual. Furthermore, it is essential for the successful candidate to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
