Our client, a leading software company, is looking to recruit a Sales Executive to join their team based at their head office in Reading. Our client is looking to invest in an individual, to see them progress into a fully blown sales consultant within the company, so if you are looking for your first step onto the sales ladder then this could be the role for you. Working closely with the Sales Manager on a daily basis the successful candidate will be generating leads on behalf of the sales team and following up inbound enquiries to obtain new business appointments. The role is 80% new lead creations and 20% inbound lead enquiry. Alongside this you will be contributing towards team pipelines and arranging appointments where appropriate for the sales team. The candidate will be expected to achieve an agreed activity level for telephone calls, contacts made and talk time on a monthly basis so you must be comfortable working towards targets. The role requires a high level of calls to be made on a daily basis, sometimes to senior management contacts therefore applicants must be content with communicating via the telephone and with an excellent business manner. To be successful in this role you will be a driven individual with excellent communication and written skills. Knowledge of Microsoft office applications is also required.
