Our client, a leading provider of environmental electronic consumer products are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to forge and establish successful relationships with distributors and resellers of their products. These companies will then typically manage relationships with end retailers (DSG, Amazon etc...). With a proven track record in sales and relationship management, you will have had prior exposure to working with a distribution chain of (ideally) retail products. There will definitely be flexibility on the product but prior exposure to a distribution channel is essential. The business operates across a diverse range of categories and this is set to expand further in the coming years. These categories include consumer electronics, outdoor sports, mobile telecoms accessories and medical. Exposure to products from one of these categories is crucial to success in this role. The Sales Manager is required to pro-actively support, measure and report on the effectiveness of the current distribution network and to provide accurate forecast data for their manufacturing team in China and India. You will be tasked with identifying new partners who will add quantifiable value to the business. You will also accompany distributors to key client meetings (retailers) - such as the launch of a new products and annual range review meetings. You must be numerate (and able to demonstrate a good knowledge of excel), articulate and an accomplished presenter/public speaker. As the team is small, it is essential that the individual can be trusted, can operate autonomously, is pro-active, and can demonstrate a proven business/commercial awareness. Standard hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm and their office location is commutable by both car and public transport from towns throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
