Reporting to and supported by the MD you will be given responsibility to research new Health, Fitness and Well-Being products via the internet, trade journals and trade shows. Our client has a multi-channel approach with products sold on DRTV, national newspapers and magazines, online, and mail order catalogue. Passionate about Health & Wellbeing, you will need to keep abreast of the latest industry and consumer trends to be able to identify innovative products which will capture public imagination and be brought to market at a profitable and affordable price. Being part of a dynamic, small team you will also have the opportunity to assist the operations and marketing departments with product related tasks and ad hoc projects. The marketing department may identify a specific need in the market and you will be tasked with the initial fact finding, negotiating and sourcing at a commercially viable price and investigating potential the retail price. Once a new product is sourced you will work with both the heads of Marketing and Operations to assist in preparing the item for the distribution and sale. The ideal candidate for this role will have:- - Research experience combined with an enquiring mind and creative mind - Experience in negotiating with suppliers and building profitable working relationships - Knowledge of buying for catalogue, health/beauty/medical or similar products with a passion for the sector. - Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with suppliers and develop long term relationships. - Strong commercial acumen - Ability to be accountable and work to exceed company targets - Analysis and report writing skills - Interest in product marketing Apply today to learn more about this exciting role within a dynamic industry.
