Exceptional contract opportunities for bright, creative writers who have a passion for producing strong online content. These Research / Online Editorial positions are ideally suited to an applicant with a background in journalism, report writing or online blogging. These roles will last for a period of 12 months with the possibility of further extension. A desirable skill set would include some knowledge of HTML, a strong understanding and previous usage of content management systems (CMS) and online analytics and any awareness of SEO practices would be seen as incredibly benefical. Crucially though, you will have a keen interest and understanding of web-based content as will be able to demonstrate a clear manner of engaging with an internet-literate user base. This role will be focused around the writing of online reports through the analysis of surveys and statistics. Therefore, analytical skills are key. You must possess the ability to do desk research; establishing what key facts are and then summarising them in an objective report. You also be comfortable sourcing information from trade/general press, company reports and social media. Having superior communications skills is also a pre-requisite as you will be expected to conduct interviews within this role as well. Based in Wallingford this role is commutable from locations such as Reading, Oxford, Abingdon, Thatcham, Henley-on-Thames, Wantage, Goring and Pangbourne.
