Our client, a multi-disciplined consultancy specialising in the Telecoms sector, have an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to join their team. With responsibilities covering planning, control, monitoring, reporting on progress, implementing QA and ensuring that health and safety is implemented on construction work activities for their clients, the successful candidate must be passionate about driving excellence and best practice in all aspects of the construction phase and display leadership to ensure successful delivery of client expectations. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Management of internal/external resources in the delivery of design, tendering, REC management, construction, I&C and site inspections • The organisation and attendance of multi skilled visits, health and safety audits and site handover inspections • Site Management – conducting site inductions and overseeing construction works • H & S Management, including the implementation of CDM of real time progress and weekly client reporting for all works on both internal and external databases • Preparation of Tender Packages, enquiries, analysis, negotiation, scope of works and co-ordination of levelling activities • The provision of design expertise and support to internal departments The position will also involve regular travelling to attend site visits, meetings and conducting surveys – therefore a full clean UK driving licence is a an essential requirement. With this in mind, the successful candidate will need to be flexible in terms of working hours, travelling and overnight stays due to the nature of the projects being worked on. Essential requirements include: • A qualification in a building related discipline or equivalent experience as a Project Engineer (preferably in a Telecoms related field, although not essential) • Experience in managing external contractors • Possessing a proven track record in delivering projects in line with time, cost and quality guidelines • A full UK driving licence • Working knowledge of CDM ** To find out further information, please submit your CV via this website today. ** Park Street People Ltd is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
