Pharmacovigilance Physician / Medical Reviewer

As the Pharmacovigilance Physician / Medical Reviewer within this forward-thinking organisation based in the Surrey, you will be working on clinical trials and ensuring regulatory reporting compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in medical reviewing of ICSRs and other safety reports on the company database, checking MedDRA coding, providing the support for Medical Information Officers with medical enquiries, writing and assessing clinical expert reports.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Writing, maintaining and medical reviewing of ICSRs case files and other safety reports
  • Reviewing MedDRA coding
  • Quality checks of all company processes (training, database validation, PSURs, ICSRs, Safety Reviews)
  • Medical assessment of source documents for Individual Case Safety Reports
  • Providing the support for Medical Information Officers and PV Specialists with medical enquiries
  • Reviewing reaction for detected signals
  • Creating risk management plans and medical approvals of periodic reports
  • Medical assessment and creating clinical expert and SOP reports
  • Reviewing annual safety reports by using medical knowledge

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You will be a Medical Practitioner (GMC registration NOT required)
  • You'll be a highly organised and efficient approach with a management style which promotes open communication and fosters teamwork across all stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure documents are properly filed and stored
  • Ensure that clients are fully acknowledged on information being requested
  • People management and training skills
