The Client: A specialist company dealing with the manufacture and production of security products. With a portfolio of new and unique products, the company is anticipating a period of strong growth and is offering the opportunity to join a high performing and focused team. The Role Overall responsibility to ensure that goods and services of the company are delivered in line with strategic objectives, and that customer expectations are met at every step. To manage the design, production, project management and service and repair functions to contribution level and deliver on the business plan for the Operations Department. The Candidate - Previous experience at managing an operations team in a contracting environment - Previous experience in leading a team of minimum 10 people - Previous experience in senior management reporting directly to board level Responsibilities - Ensure customer expectations both during and after the project, are communicated and met - Co-ordination of operational resources - Identification of additional resource requirements ahead of time in conjunction with other business departments - Overseeing the development of the manufacturing process in line with growth expectations and LEAN management - Supervise operational detail and implement necessary control systems - Take full budget responsibility, develop and deliver on the business plan for the Operations Department - Lead and inspire the Operations Department through leadership and focus - Contribute as part of the senior management team to the direction of the business
