Our client, an international pharmaceutical company, is looking for an administrative assistant for their marketing and events department. The successful candidate will be supporting 24 team members, from Director level downwards, including some staff that are based out with the UK. You will be in charge of diary management for the Directors and as such will be liaising with a number of contacts at various levels within the company. The role involves a lot of standard secretarial tasks such as filing, typing up of documents, greeting and assisting visitors, helping with the reception overflow and coordinating the team. There will be a certain amount of event organisation involved, including sourcing venues, researching information, assisting with online registrations and liaising with outside suppliers. Candidates must have experience of booking extensive international travel arrangements and assisting with organising events of various sizes. You will be expected to have excellent IT skills including the full Microsoft suite of packages and preferably a typing speed of 40 to 60 wpm.
