Logistics Coordinator £26-30K + Benefits Slough, Berkshire Why should you be interested in this role? - You want to work for a Global technology provider who has ambitious plans for different verticals in the future - You're looking for a logistics / supply chain role where you take ownership of this process within the UK - You want a busy, diverse and challenging position where you can make a genuine difference to the logistics process on a daily basis - You want an employer who offers a competitive basic salary as well as a strong benefits package (life insurance, health insurance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 3 / 5% pension scheme, business travel insurance, access to dental insurance) What will they want you to have? - A proven background in European wide logistics / supply chain coordination - The ability to take ownership of the order to delivery process (handling purchase orders, organising shipping details (liaison with freight forwarders), forecasting accurate stock levels etc.) - Strong - A superb 'customer first' attitude; you'll be able demonstrate a structured approach to always keeping a customer base informed of what is happening throughout the order-to-delivery process - Previous experience of working with a major ERP solution (SAP, JDE, Epicor, Netsuite, Sage ERP, Microsoft Dynamics GP / NAV etc.) So what type of character will work well in this role? - A tenacious, self-starter is an ideal fit; this role reports into the Supply Chain Manager but is a stand-alone function so will need someone who can roll up their sleeves and take ownership of the position - Someone with ideas but who will listen carefully; there is scope for process improvement in the role but at the same time, consistency in existing procedures must be maintained - A person who genuinely takes care and has accuracy in the work they do; there is little room for error in this role (it can cost the business huge sums of money). You'll be a person who prides them-self on getting a job done right first time - Someone who is flexible; you will report into a variety of stakeholders on a global basis. This will require the successful candidate to be available for contact throughout the working day - Resilient; this is a fast moving consumer driven business which is going through a period of significant change.
