As part of the Environmental Health and Safety team of this innovative and growing pharmaceutical business, you will work as Lead Associate managing the environmental health and safety of their research site combining office and laboratory space. On a 13 month contract from September, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the effective running of a busy site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the site from a health and safety perspective
- Updating and reviewing company policies and procedures
- Responsible for internal audits and inspections
- Dealing with risk assessments
- Attending meetings
- Chairing the Safety Committee
- Project management
- Participating in site emergency response
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree calibre individual (BSc in Chemistry, Biology or Life science related field)
- NEBOSH certificate (minimum) or Diploma level
- Extensive knowledge of UK environmental, health and safety laws
- You will have ideally worked in a similar role combining a technical science and commercial environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be confident building rapport and engaging with the wider business
- Ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects
