Our client based in Epsom is looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer to provide day to day software, hardware and telephony support for all onsite and remote employees to ensure timely problem resolution. Your role would be to clearly communicate technical solutions in a timely, user-friendly and professional manner. You will be responsible for; answering, documenting and resolving IT helpdesk tickets in line with SLAs, configure, test, and build laptops and PCs while also maintaining and providing support for them. Provide support of Desktop applications (MS Office) and office phone and voicemail systems. You will be required to carry out all software testing, installation and support alongside also assisting with company's mobile phones. Our client is looking for an individual who has proven technical experience, problem solving and troubleshooting ability. You must be able to build strong relationships and have a customer service orientated professional telephone manner. You will be managing many tasks at one time so multi tasking ability is essential. There could potentially be elements of travel with this role so you must be flexible to work outside of normal office hours from time to time and travel within the UK and overseas. To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a similar position, have good knowledge of Windows XP Server 2003 and Office 2007 and an in depth understanding of networking skills TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, VPN. You must also have experience of software imaging and building using Symantec Ghost software or similar. It is desirable but not essential that you also have the following skills: SQL, Crystal Reports, VM Ware, Server 2008, Exchange Server, Experience of CAD packages and IP telephony.
