Our client, a well-established company are currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. In this standalone role the IT Support Engineer will responsible for providing high quality technical and user support including IT Infrastructure, desktop security, messaging and phone systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting users at two offices, one based in Maidenhead in Berkshire and the other in Northamptonshire, therefore the successful candidate will have a full driving licence and be happy to travel between sites on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will possess experience with the following: •Microsoft Windows Server and Operating systems (Server 2008 R2/Server 2012/XP/7) •Configuring/Maintaining Windows Services (WSUS/DHCP/DNS/TCPIP/etc) •Maintaining site data backup •Microsoft Office •Antivirus •End user hardware (PC/Printer/Smart Phone/Scanner) •Experience with network hardware, including WAN, LAN switches, WLAN, routers. •Telephone Infrastructure •Remote access solutions (VPN) The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to users via the Helpdesk as well as at desktop level.
