Our client is looking to recruit a Golf Tournament Co-ordinator to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity and the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: - Sourcing tournament venues - Liaising with event sponsors/golf governing bodies - Liaising with competitors - Full assistance in the running of golf tournaments which includes setting up and running the registration desk, signage and marketing material, recording and processing scores - Organising travel arrangements and accommodation - All aspects of IT to include resolving IT issues in the office, maintaining the company website, updating tournament website and social media sites - General administration to include mail outs, answering calls and responding to enquiries. This role requires extensive travel within the UK and some international travel. Candidates must be very flexible to travel and a full UK driving licence would be advantageous for the role. The standard working hours are 9:00 - 18:00 however during the tournament season you will be required to work longer hours and due to the nature of the industry this will include weekends/bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have impeccable organisational skills and will be a confident communicator who is keen to have a very hands on role. You will be pro-active, dedicated and passionate about the golfing industry with an in depth knowledge of the sport. Excellent IT and administration skills are essential for the role and you must be able to work independently from your own initiative but will also be a team player. Candidates will have proven experience of project based work or event organisation.
