Our client, a dynamic media company based just outside of the Reading area are currently recruiting an Events Co-ordinator to join their team. As Events Co-ordinator you will be project managing the design and delivery of student focused events in association with leading companies and organisations. Your aim will be to design and implement marketing strategies that will raise the profile of the companies’ website and overall generate more student registrations. The responsibilities of this position will include project managing specified events, developing the format and content of both existing and new events and organise and co-ordinate with clients. It will be your responsibility to provide clear and concise instructions to ensure internal teams and clients are fully briefed on events. Alongside this you will be assisting with preparation of materials for events, researching venues, catering and merchandise as well as attending and facilitating the event and providing administration for it. Selecting, screening and telephone interviewing students for the events will also fall into your role. After the event you will need to write and distribute feedback reports for the clients. Another element to this position will be to take a proactive role in the marketing of the events by co-ordinating paper and online marketing/promotional material. These marketing leads will need to be followed up by you through telephone campaigns. Maintaining and developing the Events website to attract a diverse range of students will be your responsibility. You will also be required to attend client meetings and assist the Events Account Director in client liaison and providing them with relevant supporting materials The ideal candidate for this role would be someone that is comfortable working on several projects at the same time. Ideally you will be a graduate with 1-2 years of experience. It is essential that you have excellent communication and planning skills and outstanding time management. You must be confident using MS Office packages. Ideally you will have experience of organising events and analysing and understanding information but this is not essential. Presentation skills are desirable along with Project Management experience. A good knowledge of social media would be an added bonus. Please apply via this website to be considered for this role.
