An international IT security software vendor in the Reading area are currently looking for a legally aware contracts manager to act as an intermediary between the sales team, potential new clients and the company's legal council, initially on a 2 month, full-time, temporary basis. You will have a background naturally in the oversight and creation of contracts and have up to date knowledge of UK laws that must be abided by. You'll ideally have worked specifically with commercial IT contracts in the UK. Whilst there may be opportunity for this to continue for a longer period (opportunities with this nature of temporary position are always a possibility), nothing is guaranteed and as such this position will most likely be suitable for those between jobs. Core responsibilities to include: Responsibilities • Create and upkeep a database of the full life-cycle of contract records • Maintain a database of template contracts in line with German Regulations. • Develop a system for contract management in coherence with company policy • Become an expert with in-depth knowledge of all existing contracts with major customers and suppliers • Support the Procurement and Marketing Managers on legal queries • Be the initial contact point for both customers and suppliers, and vendors and disti’s, mediating between them in regard to drafting initial legal contracts and other issues. • Ensuring general contractual obligations are met to reduce commercial risks • Referring/escalating issues to the legal council when necessary • Ensure compliance with financial policies such as revenue recognition or pricing.
