Our client, a leading global engineering manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Team Member to join their Slough based team. Reporting to the Director of Global Continuous Improvement (Business Processes), the successful candidate will be focused on Supply Chain Improvement (planning, purchasing and production), and will lead global or cross regional improvement projects that increase sales and profits, improve customer satisfaction and reduce defects. The main focus of the Continuous Improvement Team Member will be to help develop consistent, best-in-class, global procedures and processes through actively participating in reviewing the recommendations from the User Groups to assist senior management in prioritization of global and regional business improvements (RFC’s for SAP and QAD). The promotion of a continuous improvement culture within the company and provide opportunities to employees to embrace continuous improvement will also be expected of the successful candidate. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience with Supply Chain roles, ideally a combination of planning purchasing and production, and be confident in leading improvement projects. Good working experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP, with excellent communications skills and good experience in manufacturing excellence techniques (such as Six Sigma) is required. Due to the global reach of this client, a willingness to undertake international travel / flexibility in working times are also necessary requirements for this position.
