Our client, an international speciality pharmaceutical group, is looking to recruit a Congress & Meetings Coordinator. Working with the Sales and Marketing Team you will be establishing the requirements for various meetings and events. You will liaise with a range of organisers for events, which the client will be attending, to arrange all details such as equipment required and subject matter for presentations. As well as coordinating attendance at external events, you will be responsible for assisting with organisation of internal events and social activities. This work will encompass anything from sourcing venue information and supplies to agreeing and monitoring budgets. Travel and accommodation arrangements for staff attending events, both internal and external, will also be your responsibility. On a daily basis you will be completing a number of administrative tasks and assisting your department by dealing with any enquiries as they arise. Due to the nature of the business, you will be working to a range of industry codes of practice and policies. The client is ideally looking for graduate calibre candidates, or equivalent, with some experience of the pharmaceutical industry. Your experience of event planning will have provided you with strong organisational and administrative skills. Knowledge of an additional language would be beneficial, although not essential.
