The opportunity The client is a leading global outdoor advertising company with offices in 55 countries around the world which include; London, Paris, San Francisco, Hamburg, Singapore and Sydney (just to mention a few). The company is the number one supplier of advertising opportunities in the UK across Retail, Rail, Airport and Roadside providing high quality and innovative solutions. My client is looking for a confident Business Development manager to generate a customer base and promote sales revenue within Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Berkshire: ideally you will be based in Reading area. The role will require you to work from home, will be field based with occasional visit to their HQ in west London. This is a rewarding role with a good commission structure/bonuses and OTE of up to £50,000-£60,000. Key responsibilities Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business through full understanding of the sales structure and process Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients. Set up 10 meetings per week between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals. Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Desirable Skills and candidate profile 5 years+ experience in selling across products to SMEs/ Blue chip direct clients within the private sector along with public sector related bodies Confident prospector, self-assured and a tough negotiator, driven by targets, success and reward Demonstrate a proven track record of target achievement ideally within media sales (exceptional candidates from other backgrounds will be considered). Excellent communicator with the ability to demonstrate effective and persuasive presentation skills Ability to meet deadlines, work within timescales and demonstrate initiative and creative thinking Please apply via this website to be considered for this role.
