Our client, a leading national publisher is looking to recruit an Assistant Editor to work on a designated publication. This is an exciting opportunity within their Editorial team. Working as Assistant Editor, you'll report into the Editor and your key job role will be to commission and project manage an agreed list of titles. This role is ideally suited to a candidate with previous editorial experience, ideally within either newspapers or magazines. Key aspects of this role will include: - Subbing and proof reading copy - Managing copy flow - Organising press trips for editorial staff and other journalists - Writing features & generating ideas for the magazine - Representing the magazine at functions and on press trips - Working with various art and editorial staff to improve copy flow This is a challenging and fast-moving role that requires the suitable applicant to be level-headed and calm under pressure. You will take a methodical approach to your role and will be able to demonstrate successful previous editorial work in your career to date.
