Our client, an award winning and well renowned educational institution established for over 50 years, with a commitment to the highest standards of education and teaching excellence is currently looking for an HR & Compliance Officer to join their team on a part time, permanent basis.

This role is instrumental in ensuring the school operates in accordance with all regulatory requirements, while also promoting a positive and supportive working environment for the wider staff. Working as part of a close knit team, you will be a key support to the Head Support and Heads of Departments (teaching).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and compliance, particularly within a education regulated environment, and will play a crucial role in upholding the values and standards of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding
  • Ensuring that the school complies with all relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to labour laws, safety regulations, and educational requirements
  • Completing background checks and other required compliance checks and managing the onboarding process
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of school policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records and compliance documentation

Requirements

  • Strong HR experience in a regulated environment ideally within the educational sector, with a strong understanding of employment law and compliance standards
  • CIPD qualified (level 3)
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
