Global Safety Medical Director

An innovative global pharmaceutical company is currently looking for a Global Safety Medical Director to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

As Global Safety Medical Director, you will be the safety expert for assigned products within the Oncology therapy areas. You will be looking to work in a cross functional way, liaising and building strong relationships with internal teams and partners, to contribute to the development of a global safety strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee global safety strategies and pharmacovigilance activities for all products within the Oncology portfolio
• Act as Safety Expert for assigned products
• Prepare and review risk management plans, safety reports and other regulatory documents
• Liaise and build strong relationships with internal teams

Requirements

• A Medical doctor (GMC registered) with clinical research/medical residency experience in an academic or private practice setting
• Previous Pharmacovigilance experience is essential
• Proven background in product safety in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Strong management and mentoring experience
• A knowledge of Oncology therapy areas is highly advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
