Our client, a global provider of specialist financial services, is seeking an experienced IT Support and Help Desk technician to be based in their HQ based in the prestigious location of central Windsor. Working in this busy and modern corporate environment the successful candidate will be providing 1st and 2nd line support to an internal customer base of circa 200 users, ensuring ongoing support and maintenance of all PC and Desktop applications, and related hardware, software and peripherals. This varied role will also involve the creation of new user work stations and accounts in Active Directory, plus new email accounts, and CRM / Internet access. Due to the customer-facing nature of this role, first class communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff are critical. Applicants must have a proven background in PC/Desktop support with strong hardware knowledge, experience of Windows XP OS, understanding of Active Directory and a basic understanding of Citrix.
