Our client, an international service provider is currently looking for a Buyer to join their team in High Wycombe on a full time, permanent basis.

This role will be office-based and any candidates applying must be willing to work in their office.

Combining your manufacturing background and procurement experience, you will be responsible for the timely and cost effective management of materials for the business. Strong relationship building skills is essential for this role as you’ll liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.

In addition, you will:

  • Assisting the Purchasing Manager with negotiating material costs
  • Identifying alternative suppliers that are cost efficient for existing and new projects
  • Ensuring all goods are of the highest quality and in line with agreed specifications
  • Managing new and existent suppliers

The successful candidate will be CIPS qualified (or working towards a qualification) as well as strong experience in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing industry. You will possess excellent commercial acumen well as good contract management skills and knowledge of MRP systems.
